Santec's multichannel in-line power monitor is based on innovative
Integrated Photo-detector (IPD) technology. IPM-8 has 8 integrated
photo-detectors (IPD) that tap off a small fraction of the incoming
light and convert it to an electronic signal. The electronic signal
is amplified and processed with a micro-controller to provide the
optical power information in a digital format. Single fiber terminated
photo-detectors can also be supplied.
